Sotheby’s first half fine wine sales up 33%

Sotheby’s in London held its final fine wine sale of the summer last week that saw its sales from January to July rising by 33% since the corresponding period last year with combined sales of £7.5 million. The star lots were Petrus and Domaine de la Romanee-Conti from 1990 but mature, blue-chip Bordeaux was in high demand in addition to other top Burgundies.
