Parker’s anointed successor Neal Martin has today released his scores for the 2015 en primeur tastings. While there are many reviewers left to declare their 2015 opinions, Vin-X believe that in Neal Martin and James Suckling the two most significant voices have spoken.
We have broken down their scores below to give an idea of the wines we will be most interested in come their release.
We have also looked at the scores of Antonio Galloni, another Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate alumni. Galloni is better known for his views on Italian Wine and Champagne, where he is most influential, and this is only his second year of releasing En Primeur scores, but he seems determined to spread his influence to new regions and we believe his view worth considering at least.
We would remind you that en primeur scores are generally given in a range (98-100), (93-96) although James Suckling does give flat 100 point scores from time to time. In the above analysis we have taken the midpoint of the scores to allow our calculations to work effectively.
With price releases having already commenced, we await the details on those wines we are monitoring for investors. The table above provides a quality pointer so it now all comes down to price – follow our news stream and stay in touch with our team to make sure you are aware of the best opportunities as they come onto the market.
