Vin-X attend first official tasting of 2004 Dom Perignon rose

Martin Pruszynski, our esteemed buyer, was one of the fortunate few who had the chance yesterday to taste the newest vintage of Dom Perignon rose at the offices of LVMH, the parent company. If you are a fan of rose champagne then you should look no further than Dom Perignon who consistently deliver wonderfully delicate yet complex and ageworthy champagne which have turned it in to an icon.We have been big fans of the 2002 vintage which sold out on release so it will be fascinating to see how the new 2004 vintage shapes up.

So far the main specialist champagne writers seem to have been fairly positive in their praise. Production is always limited but Antonio Galloni (ex-Wine Advocate champagne specialist) gave it 94 points + points calling it “…delicate, feminine and graceful.” However Richard Juhlin, the renowned champagne specialist gave it a potential 96 points calling it “…classic…adorable, beautiful wine.” We will be considering offering this to clients in due course so hope it will be of interest.
