HEAD OF PURCHASING AND B2B SALES

Vin-X is one of the world’s leading specialists in fine wine investment and is now celebrating 10 years of providing bespoke wine investment solutions to individuals, companies and other organisations. As part of its continued growth strategy Vin-X is now seeking a strong commercial Purchasing and Trade Sales Manager to be based at our office in Horsham, West Sussex.

We are looking for an exceptional individual for this key, dynamic and exciting role within our team. You will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for the identification, selection and procurement of investment-grade, fine wines from key suppliers and to manage the B2B sales through multiple channels. You will also provide support to our sales team by providing key market information and performance data which helps shape our wine selection strategy for our clients.

If you have any of the following experience and qualifications we would really like to talk to you as soon as possible:-

  • Experience of buying and selling fine wine and stock management systems
  • Experience working with Liv-ex systems and data
  • Analytical skill and forecasting ability.
  • Account management experience and relationships within the fine wine sector
  • WSET qualifications.

You will need to:

  • Be commercially focused with strong negotiating skills.
  • Enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Have a high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Have advanced knowledge of using Microsoft Office and in particular Word and Excel spreadsheets to produce market reports.
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Manage time and workload effectively.
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Be a confident team player and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in the wine industry or financial services is attractive, however excellent candidates without industry experience are considered.
  • Experience in sales and / or account management.
  • WSET qualifications.

You will need to:
