Portfolio Manager

Who you are and what you’ll be doing

Vin-X is going through an exciting period of growth. We’re looking for talented and ambitious professionals to join our expanding team of Portfolio Managers. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Advising potential new clients, guiding their journey from prospect to a loyal Vin-X client
  • Building relationships with your portfolio of clients. You will be proactively managing their accounts, assisting with queries, and working with them to create a fine wine portfolio that sees strong returns
  • Analysing data and wine insight to make strategic recommendations to investors
  • Working to monthly targets to achieve internal sales and customer service goals
  • Working collaboratively with other internal teams to deliver an outstanding service
  • Potential to represent the Vin-X brand at ad-hoc events and seminars

About you

  • You’ll have 2+ years of experience in a high-performing sales environment, with a good understanding of investments
  • You’ll have a passion for fine wine or have industry experience
  • You’ll have or be working towards a WSET qualification (desirable, but not essential)
  • You’ll have proven experience in client-facing roles with a passion for customer service
  • You’ll have brilliant communications skills, both verbal and written
  • You’ll be organised and have good attention to detail — we thrive on efficiency
  • You’ll work well under pressure, are self-motivated and proactive
  • You’ll have good IT skills, especially MS Office

Sales and Purchasing Co-ordinator

Vin-X is seeking an experienced Sales and Purchasing Co-ordinator to join its operations team at its Horsham based office. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking activities to support our sales, procurement, and finance departments.  

The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage a wide range of tasks, work efficiently with accuracy, be able to problem solve and investigate and confidently handle queries.  Working hours are 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility if required.  An immediate start is available.

Your key responsibilities will be to: –

  • Accurately input data into the inhouse CRM system and 3rd party systems.
  • Create Microsoft Word and Excel documents with accuracy.
  • Create and submit invoices to clients and manage the payment process.
  • Create and submit documentation to clients for the sale of their wine and manage the processes required to facilitate the transactions.
  • Assist the procurement manager with the sale quotation and sale processes.
  • Co-ordinate the stock management processes required to satisfy orders, accurately tracking and monitoring the movement of wines and their status.
  • Create ad hoc Excel spreadsheets, analysing the content using pivot tables and VLookup.
  • Problem solving by investigating and confidently managing and resolving stock queries.
  • Provide general cover and assistance for other members of the operations team as required.

 

We are looking for someone who:-

  • Has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, can create documents containing Pivot tables and VLookup and is able to analyse and understand the data provided.
  • Has a high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Has excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Has the ability to focus, manage their time and workload effectively whilst multitasking.
  • Has a proactive and positive approach.
  • Has excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Has the ability to problem solve.
  • Has the ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Has experience in a similar role.
