Second Wine | Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases |
About | On the face of it Château Léoville Las Cases looks very similar to other châteaux in Bordeaux that not only have a long history but remain very traditional in their approach to their vineyards and wine making. But that assumption would ignore the fact of that the estate has been one of the most innovative and radical throughout its history. Witness their introduction and use of new grape varieties and sulphur centuries ago and they have not rested on their laurels in this century or the last with the creation of a “second” wine and the use of reverse osmosis. A château that never sits still and continues to make wine that ranks alongside the best. |
